What are the main advantages of the Trace 2.5L Jacket W for mountain excursions?

The Trace 2.5L Jacket W is lightweight, compact and highly weatherproof, offering immediate protection from wind and rain without adding weight. It is ideal for intense activities such as speed hiking and alpine tours, guaranteeing comfort and freedom of movement.

How does the breathability of the Trace 2.5L Jacket W work during intense activities?

The jacket uses 2.5L Shell Light breathable material with a microporous PU membrane and Toray's DERMIZAX® technology, which increases breathability with physical activity, allowing perspiration to evaporate effectively to keep you dry and comfortable.

What materials are used and how do they contribute to the comfort of the jacket?

The jacket combines breathable Shell Light fabric and the highly elastic, waterproof and windproof DERMIZAX® membrane, together with a soft merino wool insert on the hood, which increases next-to-skin comfort and promotes moisture management during long hikes.

Is the Trace 2.5L Jacket W easy to store and transport?

Yes, this jacket weighs only 174 grams, can be folded into the chest pocket and takes up very little space. Plus, it has an integrated loop to easily attach it to your backpack or harness, making it ideal for light travel in the mountains.

How do you care for the Trace 2.5L Jacket W to maintain its performance over time?

We recommend washing the jacket with delicate detergents and following the manufacturer's instructions for technical fabric care, avoiding the use of fabric softeners. Correct maintenance helps preserve its waterproofness, elasticity and breathability.

Lightweight, compact and with reliable weather protection: the Ortovox Trace 2.5L Jacket W is designed for the most intense mountain adventures. Whether you're speed hiking, an ambitious day hike or a minimalist alpine tour, this functional women's hardshell jacket offers exactly the protection you need, without excessive bulk.

The breathable 2.5L Shell Light material with microporous PU membrane effectively protects against wind and rain. At the same time, the jacket remains pleasantly breathable, ideal for the most demanding climbs. The DERMIZAX® membrane from Toray convinces with high elasticity and reliable windproof and waterproof properties. A particularly practical feature: breathability increases with activity: the more you sweat, the more efficient the membrane.

A soft merino wool blend insert in the forehead area of the hood provides additional comfort. It transports moisture, feels pleasant on the skin and increases comfort during long days in the mountains.

Weighing just 174 grams, the jacket is extremely light and, in stable weather conditions, can be folded into its own chest pocket, taking up little space. An integrated loop allows for secure attachment to your backpack or climbing harness.
