A zip-up clamshell version of our tried-and-tested Speed hiking pack, proven everywhere from the Canadian Rockies to the Fitz Roy Massif, the Black Diamond Speed Zip is designed for lightweight performance on rock, snow and ice everywhere. Featuring updated BD X-rip 210d fabric with a UTS™ coating, the new Speed Zip is built to withstand mountain weather season after season.
We've also improved comfort with a breathable, updated backpanel and redesigned dual-density foam shoulder straps for better load distribution during the approach, while maintaining the aerodynamic shape during the hike. Ice ax PickPockets™ now feature a new metal dog bone attachment for increased safety, while anti-snag crampon straps and a stowable rope strap secure your gear outside.
