How to correctly apply Grip Tape on the ice axe?

To apply Grip Tape correctly, clean the ice ax handle well, roll the tape tightly and make sure there are no air bubbles. This ensures a secure and long-lasting hold.

Does Grip Tape also offer protection against the cold?

Yes, Grip Tape provides thermal insulation on the grip, helping to keep your hands warm when hiking in bitterly cold conditions.

How long does Grip Tape last before it needs to be replaced?

The lifespan of Grip Tape depends on use, but it is generally recommended to replace it every season or when you notice it wearing out or losing its insulating properties.

Is Grip Tape compatible with all ice axes?

The Grip Tape is designed to fit most ice axes due to its elastic nature and easy to apply. However, it is recommended to check the grip size before purchasing.

How do you remove the Grip Tape without damaging the ice axe?

To remove the Grip Tape, lift one corner and pull slowly, being careful not to scratch the surface of the ice axe. You can use a little isopropyl alcohol if the tape is difficult to peel off.
