Belay device with a revolutionary design (patent pending) that solves the problem of the orientation of the carabiner while belaying: thanks to GridLock technology, involuntary rotations of the carabiner in the service ring are avoided, with consequent unloading of the weight on the short axis.
DESCRIPTION
With its revolutionary patent-pending design, the Black Diamond GridLock Screwgate eliminates the dangers of carabiner rotation while securing. Designed specifically for belaying, the intuitive GridLock isolates the service loop, thus keeping the carabiner in its correct orientation. The surface that comes into contact with the rope is wide and rounded, to guarantee resistance over time and fluidity. Simply put, you'll never have to deal with a carabiner rotating in the service loop again.
Hot forged construction
Large and very rounded work surface
