Summit ice axe

Intended for the practice of classic mountaineering, the SUMMIT ice ax guarantees an excellent price/performance ratio. Lightweight, capable of guaranteeing good anchoring performance at the head as well as at the tip, curved to ensure the extraction distance necessary for use on steep and icy terrain, it can also be used both as a stick ice ax or technical ice ax and as an ice-climbing ice ax in short steep passages.

Detailed description

Lightweight: Lightweight ice axe, but heavy on the head for good anchoring power.
Handle ergonomics:
- the handle is curved at the top to ensure a good extraction distance when climbing,
- the lower part is straighter and guarantees effective penetration into the snow.
Hot forged steel blade and shovel, to ensure solid anchoring:
- thin blade (3 mm) and serrated on the tip, to guarantee good anchoring quality on hard snow and ice,
- thicker blade in the center to improve grip on soft snow.
- teeth in the upper part to strengthen the hold of the ice ax when used as a technical ice axe,
- robust stainless steel tip for excellent penetration into hard snow and for use as an ice axe.
High resistance and practical aspects:
- very resistant steel blade to guarantee a comfortable support surface and with an edge design that allows for effective grading,
- inclined shovel to guide the ice ax correctly in the snow (use as a stick ice axe),
- head and tip equipped with holes for the passage of a carabiner or a webbing,
- high quality aluminum handle (7075 aluminum used in aeronautics), with anodized finish for excellent protection,
- handle carved into the mass to create a grip that ensures a better grip.
Ice ax compatible with LINKIN leash.
